|2||Speed and Torque Control of Stepper Motor using Voltage and Current Control Abstract – In this paper, Stepper motors provide fine control of rotation angle and speed through discrete excitation signals using voltage and current control. Micro-stepping enables higher precision through fractional excitation of step motor windings. Microcontrollers enable efficient and simple generation of discrete digital signals. Low cost and effective electronic utilities are realized with the use of microcontroller’s and accompanying circuitry in conjunction. There are different driver topologies for step motor control, each having advantages and disadvantages for certain needs. |3||Dual Slope Differential Relay as an Effective Technique for Differential Protection of Y-Y Connected Power Transformer Abstract – This paper carries the idea of selection of dual slope differential relay parameters for various faulty conditions on the system. The differential protection of power transformer is a unit protection scheme. The protective scheme should operate only for the internal fault, and it must be insensitive for any fault outside the zone of protection. That means the protection scheme should not operate for any external through fault and the magnetizing inrush current due to energization of the transformer under no load condition and also due to external fault removal. Fast Fourier Transform technique is used to provide the operating quantity for the dual slope differential relay. The simulation for Y-Y connection of transformer is made using PSCAD software. |4||Tumor Detection using Normalized Cross Co-Relation Abstract – Tumor detection is basically used to detect tumors and serve as a helping hand for doctors. There are many techniques to detect the tumor. In few traditional systems patients xray with tumor as well as without tumor was required, that was the basic disadvantage of that systems. This paper there is a detail survey of tumor detection using template matching algorithm.systems Various techniques can be used to detect tumor like Image segmentation using Histogram thresholding, Segmentation Based on Soft Computing , hybrid Genetic Algorithm and Artificial Neural Network Fuzzy Inference System , Digital image processing based on soft computing etc in matlab. |5||Animal Detection Using Template Matching Algorithm Abstract – This paper present many research based which are useful for real time application. Animal detection is useful in prevention of animal- vehicle accidents and will increase human and wildlife safety, it will detect large animals before they enter the road and warn the driver through audio and visual signals. This also helps in saving crops in farm from animals. In this paper there is survey of different object detection techniques and for object identification as animal techniques such as object matching, edge based matching ,skeleton extraction etc are there. |6||Detection of Novel Class with Incremental Learning for Data Streams Abstract – Data stream mining is the process of extracting knowledge from continuous arrival of data. Data stream can be viewed as a sequence of relational touples arrives continuously at any time. Classification of data stream is more challenging task due to three major problems in data stream mining: Infinite length, Concept-drift, Arrival of novel class. Novel class detection in stream data classification is interesting research topic and researches available for concept drift problem but not attention on the Novel class detection. In this paper, we propose a new approach for detecting novel class in concept drifting DataStream classification using decision tree classifier that can determine whether data instance belongs to existing class or a novel class. The proposed approach is to find Novel Class instances using Hoeffding Option tree (HOTDC) and from training data points, which continuously updates with recent instances so that the tree represents the most recent concept in data stream. The experimental analysis on datasets from UCI machine learning repository proved that the proposed approach can detect novel class in concept drifting data stream classification problems.||Jignasa N. |7||Optimization of Process Parameters for Surface Roughness and Material Removal Rate for SS 316 on CNC Turning Machine Abstract – Efficient turning of high performance SS 316 austenite steel material can be achieved through proper selection of turning process parameters to minimize surface roughness and maximize material removal rate. In this present paper outlines an experimental study to optimize and study the effects of process parameters in CNC turning on Surface roughness and material removal rate of SS 316 (austenite steel) work material in dry environment conditions using physical vapour deposition (PVD) coated ceramic insert with 0.8mm nose radius and 80°negative rhombic angle. The full factorial method and analysis of variance are employed to study the performance characteristics in CNC turning operation. Three machining parameters are chosen as process parameters: Cutting Speed, Feed rate and Depth of cut. The experimentation plan is designed using design of experiment, L27 orthogonal array and Minitab-16 statistical software is used. Optimal values of process parameters for desired performance characteristics are obtained by analysis of variance (ANOVA). Prediction models are developed with the help of grey relational analysis method using Minitab-16 software and finally the optimal and predicted results are also verified with the help of confirmation experiments.||Navneet K. |8||Parametric Optimization of Weld Strength of Metal Inert Gas Welding and Tungsten Inert Gas Welding By Using Analysis of Variance and Grey Relational Analysis Abstract – Welding is a manufacturing process, which is carried out for joining of metals by Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding. All welds will be prepared by MIG and TIG welding technique. I have studied Design of Experiment method (Full factorial method) for this work and by use of the experimental data have optimized by grey relational analysis (GRA) optimization technique. In which input parameters for MIG welding are welding current, wire diameter and wire feed rate and the output parameter is hardness. Also the input parameters for TIG welding are welding current, wire diameter and the output parameter is hardness. We were used AISI 1020 or C20 material for welding. It is a plain carbon steel and also known as “soft” or mild steel. Small scale trial welding experiments, in the light of field joint of plate have been planned to perform on 5 mm plate thicknesses of low alloy steel AISI 1020 or C20 and double V-groove joint is used. For Experimental design we were used full factorial method (L=mⁿ) to find out number of readings. To find out percentage contribution of each input parameter for obtaining optimal conditions, we were used analysis of variance (ANOVA) method. We take a grey relational analysis (GRA) optimization technique for optimization of different values. A grey relational grade obtained from the grey relational analysis is used to optimize the process parameters. In this process, the material removal is occurred electro thermally by a series of successive discrete discharges between electrode and the work piece. The performance of the process, to a large extent, depends on the Electrode material, Work piece material manufacturing method of the electrodes. |10||Fault Detection Analysis & Diagnosis of Rotor by Six Sigma MethodologyAbstract – The purpose of this dissertation work is to solve the problem of chronic issue of Automobile part, using Seven QC Tool of Six Sigma concepts, produced at Mahindra gears & transmission Pvt. Ltd. (MGTPL) situated at Shapar GIDC, Rajkot Gujarat. MGTPL is the leading manufacturing industry of the automobile products in Gujarat. Mahindra has two branches across the India, one is situated in Pune, and another is in Rajkot. MGTPL has three units in Rajkot MGTPL makes many parts like automobile gears, clutch components, differential gears, shafts, axles etc. Amongst them Rotor 4302242 is the part required high accuracy manufacturing. Because Eaton corp. Ltd. USA, is the customer of MGTPL, and rotor is imported by Eaton corp. Ltd. USA. High precision is required in manufacturing of rotor 4302242. Amongst many options here we have used Seven QC Tools of Six Sigma. Project objectives were set in Define phase to increase the yield of functionality. Seven QC tool phenomena are associated with the main causes of the rotor which leads the problem to the end solution. For this industrial Problem formulation is carried out to determine the main causes and impact of those caused on our fault analysis. Rejection of this component is depended on main causes like, internal bore grinding tapered, and peripheral damages on mating surface of the Rotor Speedometer etc. combine use of Magnificent Seven QC Tool and DMAIC concept we have analyze the whole thing and found all defects, and justify the weight age of above particular defects. |11||A New Move towards Updating Pheromone Trail in Order to Gain Increased Predictive Accuracy in Classification Rule Mining by Implementing ACO Algorithm Abstract – Ant miner algorithm is used to find the classification rule which helps to do classification of the data. Ant miner uses the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) which deals with artificial systems that is inspired from the foraging behavior of real ants. Here the task is to improve the pheromone update method in the current system. Pheromone updating is dependent mainly on the initial pheromone of the term, and term Q (quality of term) which is added to current accumulated pheromone. In this method a try is made to lay pheromone on trail such that selection of terms is not biased and unified behavior for the system as a whole, produce a robust system capable of finding high-quality solutions for problems. Here in this approach amount of pheromone added with the used term is not directly dependent on accumulated pheromone but also on the Q (quality of rule). So here in Q is modified and multiplied in ways that help to get better solution. For this use of rule length is done and manipulated in a way that supports approach to achieve goal. |12||Treatment of Dye Intermediate Waste-Water by Fenton and Electro-Fenton Treatments Abstract – In a laboratory study, treatment of real dye-intermediate wastewater having high chemical oxygen demand (COD) in the range of 30,000 to 50,000 mg/L. by fenton and electro-fenton was examined. Batch experiments were conducted to determine optimal operating conditions pH, H2O2 dosage, Fe+2 dosage and current to obtain the best results. In fenton treatment, the optimal doses of Fe (II) (2%) and H2O2 (30%) were 10 ml/L and 20 ml/L. 86% COD removal is obtained by fenton treatment at pH 3. In electro-fenton treatment, the optimal doses of H2O2 (30%) was 20 ml/L and current was 2.0 A. 78% COD removal is obtained by electro-fenton treatment at pH 3. |13||A Review of Laser Welding Process for Thin Steel SheetsAbstract – This paper describes a variety of fundamental research results of laser welding of thin steel sheets which the authors have recently performed. Laser welding will be a vital joining technique for thin steel sheets with their increasing applications in aerospace, aircraft, automotive, electronics and other industries. In this review the research and progress in laser welding of thin steel sheets are critically reviewed from different perspectives. Basically two types of industrial lasers, carbon dioxide (CO2) and neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd: YAG), have been used to weld the thin steel sheets.
